Beatitude - What does it mean to be meek?
- freedom SteemChurch
Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth.
There is blessing for the meek and the blessing is that they will inherit the earth.
What does it mean to be meek?
Meekness is define as the gentleness, lowliness of mind, not self willed, easily entreated, claiming nothing, not defending sell but trusting God to fight for you, no self assertion, no fear of losing out even though going through oppression, criticism and blackmail. it manifests in quiet spirit and inner liberty from agitation.
Meekness means to have long suffering, quietness but is not weakness.
It is of the fruit which the holy Spirit of God helps us to manifest. It is kingdom lifestyle.
But it not self imposed humility.
Being meek is to have the mind which was in Christ Jesus ( Philippians 2: 5). He is our perfect example a man who was meek that even at the point of death, he chooses the will of the Father.
