How should we give for the work of Ministry. (GCC 29)

2 Kings 12:4-5 (NIV)
Joash said to the priests, “Collect all the money that is brought as sacred offerings to the temple of the Lord—the money collected in the census, the money received from personal vows and the money brought voluntarily to the temple. 5 Let every priest receive the money from one of the treasurers, then use it to repair whatever damage is found in the temple.”
Donating money in Church for the work of God predates the birth of Jesus Christ.
In our days many people are not comfortable with this service to God. They criticize the priests who collect money for the work of God and call them many names.
This should not be so. Although there may be few abuses, but God's work shall be done with money inclusive. Instead of putting a clog in the progress of God's work through these criticisms, we should learn to give wisely and through the leading of the holy Spirit and leave judgment for God almighty.
Giving for the work of the ministry is the responsibility of all believers in Christ.
HOW SHOULD WE GIVE FOR THE WORK OF MINISTRY?
Giving is indeed part of our service to God!
It involves both monetary and non monetary commitments. Though many may have abused the aspect of monetary giving in the church today, it still remains one of the important aspect of our service to God that cannot be ignored if the work of God must move forward.
Giving should be from a pure heart, not by persuasion, not to show off but by the leading of the holy Spirit!
Giving to the ministry should be wholeheartedly. God expect us to give our all
Not grudgingly, with all happiness. our giving should be between us and God .
The work of ministry demands time, money prayers etc. But I give wisely; not grudgingly but wisely. The building of God is more in people than of physical structures/temples, I delight giving more when it is being channel more on human building than on temple building.
'Although there may be few abuses, but God's work shall be done with money inclusive. Instead of putting a clog in the progress of God's work through these criticisms, we should learn to give wisely and through the leading of the holy Spirit and leave judgment for God almighty.'
Very well said friend Victor. 👍
