Goldencenser challenge #28 - What are they saying about you?

Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven... [Matthew 5:11-12 NIV]

People say different things against Christians today. if you are a true born again Christian, people will definitely speak falsely of evil against you and they will insult you. it is part of our suffering for Christ. The good thing is that our suffering will not be in vein because great is our reward in heaven.

What are your suffering for Christ and what are the evil things they are saying about you.

I'm not bothered about what people say about me, I'm only bothered about what God is saying about me.

Once you choose to follow Jesus, many mouths will begin to talk but do well to keep your conscience clean

Do not let what they say bother rather push

Anything suffered in Christ name is treasure in heaven. The meek will inherit the kingdom. Jesus said, "My ways are not of this world.". He was the most powerful man to ever set foot on earth, yet the most humble. We can see His character, by his reply to a woman, who said, "yea lord, even the dogs get to eat of the scrapes". Many times I read, and many time I am moved to tears, when The Creator says, "O woman". Her words and humility moved

I don't know what men are saying about me, but what matters most is that I'm working on myself daily to become better in my relationship with man and with God through the word of life.

From the bible passage quoted, the key there is. that you rejoice when men speak evil against you on account of your faith in God.
However, if they are. speaking evil as a result of my mistake which is possible, my advocate Christ Jesus takes care of that if I approach him. But one thing is sure. I wont let my accuser put me off my track. Pressing forward to the end. Jesus Christ is Lord.

I am reminded of what playwright, Oscar Wilde, once said.

'There is only one thing worse than being talked about, and that's not being talked about.'

Or similar.

I don't know what they are saying and I try not to concern myself with it. For I know my actions are virtuous and my intentions good.

If I were however to begin to suffer under the weight of false speak - would probably take some time off from what I was doing. You can not educate someone who does not want to be educated after-all.
