Which do you prefer, Bodily exercise or Spiritual exercise?

According to 1st Timothy 4:8

  1. For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.

Would you rather starve the body and continue with the spiritual exercise or try to balance the two?

Man is a spirit living in the body. With body he expresses himself in the realm of the natural. In the realm where you live now asking your questions.
That bodily exercise profits a little is only in comparison with the spiritual exercise. You used the word balance and I agree with you.
Spiritual and body exercise are important but should not be done in exclusion of the other.

Whom you feed the most, that will win ... if you want your spirit to rule over your flesh then you must feed the inner man.

Like Bible says, bodily exercise profiteth little. We should go more for thr spiritual exercise.

Both exercises both spiritual exercise is more profitable and should take the greater part.

Spiritual exercise is more beneficial but physical exercises are needed too to keep healthy.
