My entry to Goldencenser #27 (Q)- What does the Bible say about how we should live God's childs?

Having shown the clear promise of the Lord that once we are believers all the sins of our lives were forgiven, we now turn to a logical follow-up question. How should we respond to that incredible gift? How should we live

Paul spent a lot of time describing the appropriate reaction to the free gift of eternal life and summed it up in his warning "Let us live according to what we have already achieved" (Philippians 3:16). From the words he used we know that this is not something we do to achieve or maintain our salvation. He said we have already achieved it. We do that as an expression of our sincere gratitude for giving us this gift. Because there is no doubt about it, before receiving it we were "dead in our transgressions and our sins" and "we were objects of the wrath of God" (Ephesians 2: 1-3).

My message from Goldensencer:
"In this the love of God was shown towards us, in which God sent his only begotten Son into the world, so that we may live for him." 1 John 4: 9
