Perhaps he is here already.

Really tough question Victor. How about we lighten them up a little - and it is good to give your own thoughts on the subject too.

He went and promised us the comforter which is the Holy Spirit, with no doubt, the spirit of Christ is here with his church, but as to the coming of Christ, no one knows, only the signs of the end times where told by Jesus himself.

Beware, end times is different from the coming of Christ but people often interwove the two.

Acts 1:6-7 (KJV)
When they therefore were come together, they asked of him, saying, Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel? And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power.

Matthew 24:36-39 (KJV)
But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only. But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

Response from Apostle Peter

2 Peter 3:3-4, 8-9 (KJV)
Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.

But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

In Conclusion

The coming of Christ Jesus may not be too soon as many use to say, and it might be in the next seconds. What matters is that we are found in him at all times through obedience to his commandments and love to humanity.

Thanks Victor for such a thoughtful question as I hope that my answer helped.
